WHEN TRAVELING WITH YOUR SERVICE DOG, YOU SHOULD:
PLAN AHEAD - GET PROPER SEAT ASSIGNMENT IF FLYING, MAKE A CHECKLIST
BE PREPARED - BRING FOOD, WATER, VETERINARY RECORDS, PROPER DOCUMENTATION
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS - A TRAINED SERVICE DOG HAS RIGHTS OF ACCESS
PRO TIP: DO NOT FEED YOUR SERVICE DOG THE MORNING MEAL IF YOU ARE FLYING ANYTIME DURING THE DAY. WAIT UNTIL YOU REACH YOUR DESTINATION TO FEED. THIS CAN SAVE YOU FROM EMBARRASSMENT SHOULD YOU NOT BE IN A POSITION TO 'BREAK' YOUR DOG. PROVIDE WATER IN LIMITED SUPPLY.
Airlines have different rules for Service Dogs. We have listed the top 3 airlines and connected you to their respective guidelines. Remember, you are representing every Service Dog team after you, so be a good ambassador. Remember, a Service Dog mitigates tasks for its handler; making you feel safe in crowds is not a task. Be prepared to answer questions as to what your Service Dog does for you. Emotional Support Animals have different rules that apply. Safe and happy travels...

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRAINED SERVICE ANIMALS AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT/PSYCHIATRIC SERVICE ANIMALS
We know that both types of animals provide invaluable services and we welcome both on our flights. To travel with an emotional support or psychiatric service animal, passengers must upload the required documentation at least 48 hours before a flight. For questions, call 404-209-3434. Advanced notice is encouraged but not required for customers travelling with trained service animals.
Please be advised that our service and support animal policy is changing. Effective July 10, 2018, each customer will be limited to one emotional support animal. Additionally, we are no longer accepting pit bull type dogs as service or support animals.
